Dan Thompson BD1 – New predator game call from Dan Thompson Calls
For predators, the sound of a bird in distress is the same as hearing the dinner bell ring.
It is well known that a predator is easy to lure with the sound of a bird in distress.
In collaboration with Dan Thompson Calls, we have developed this new predator call. This call is particularly well-suited for lure hunting at shorter distances up to 300-400 metres depending on weather and wind conditions.
The game call is as easy to use as the other calls in the Dan Thompson series, and the sound of bird in distress is perfect to lure especially younger predators early in the season.
Place yourself where you have a good overview all around and be aware that younger predators come very carefully and will typically sit down and assess the situation.
Start by calling with low volume that gradually increases.
Call for 1 minute and pause for 2-3 minutes.
Blow short and intense sequences or harsh trrr, trrr, trrr to mimic the bird’s emergency cry.
Be sure to vary the sound so that it does not become monotonous.
