Crane Call with compensator from Haydel´s Game Calls
Like the other calls from Haydel’s Game Calls, this crane call is easy to use. The technique is that you gargle your throat while blowing. After a little practice, you will learn to reproduce the sounds of juvenile as well as adult cranes.
You achieve the best results by varying the pitch so that you either blow harder or softer or squeeze the rubber compensator part at the end of the game call. This part is fitted to help you with the “back pressure” technique.
Cranes have great vision, so be sure to stay well hidden. Try to get a conversation going with the cranes by calling – they answer – you call, etc.
Watch and hear Rod Haydel’s instructions in the video above.
