This way, the birds will quickly associate the sound with the fact that food is now available.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The sound unit should be connected to a separate 12 volt battery with red to + (plus) and black to &#8211; (minus)<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>You can also insert a cell battery (model 2032) into the sound unit&#8217;s timer if you want this as a power source instead of a 12 volt battery.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Alternatively, you can replace the mounted battery cable lugs on the sound unit with double cable lugs so that you can connect the timer on both the sound unit and
