Specially Developed Single Reed Duck Call

With Haydel´s Diver Duck Call DC14 you can recreate the “Brrrrr” sound that many dive ducks use to communicate, including Redheads, Bluebills, Scaup, Canvasbacks etc.

In the past, many duck hunters have used a traditional mallard call, but now you as a dedicated duck hunter can get a call specially developed to lure dive ducks into shooting ranges.

Haydel´s Diver Duck Call has an orange plug in the exhaust barrel which can be easily removed if extra volume is needed on windy days.

As Rod Haydel tells in the video below, pronounce “Brrrrr” while blowing in the call.

Calling instruction:

To create the sounds in this call you simply roll your tongue almost like you do when you gargle your throat. Short burst of air needed at the same time to create the “Brrrr” sound they make. Each burst should last approximately a half second in length. Of course you may wish to vary this up sound like several different birds. Also by opening and closing your hand or blowing harder or softer also adds to the illusion og multiple birds. The small orange plug can also be removed to achieve more volume if you wish. Stagger the timing on these calls for added realism.

Like all Haydel´s calls, the Big Barreled Duck Call is unique as you can keep calling even if the call gets wet by your breath or if dropped in the water.
