Double reed duck call with an aggressive sound of Mallar Hen
The Big Barrelled BC-10 is the latest duck call in Haydel´’s large and varied product range.
This call is a hybrid between Haydel´s Cutdown call, which has a shorter length and the Big Barrelled, which has a design where you can really produce a high volume and aggressive sounds of a mallard hen.
As Kelly Haydel tells in the video below, pronounce the word “VUT while blowing into the call.
Like all Haydel´s calls, the Big Barreled Duck Call is unique as you can keep calling even if the call gets wet by your breath or if dropped in the water.
Calling instruction:
- The greeting call is 6-7nots in descending pitch using the same “VUT” sound
- The come back call is the same 5-7 notes a little faster to create excitement
- The pleading call is holding the first note longer than the rest
- The feed call say “DU DIT …… DITDITDI ….. DIT. Broken up and staccato.
Features:
- Reproduces the sound of a female mallard duck
- Double reed

- “Barrel” shaped design for extra air and louder sound
- Acrylic base that produces a sharp and clean tone
- Can be used even in wet condition

All calls are factory tuned and tested by champion callers. No tuning is suggested, however if you need to adjust for personale style move the wedge toward the tip of the reeds to raise the pitch and opposite to lower.
