This call is specially developed to imitate bird distress calls. These sounds are very effective to lure young foxes and other predators.
Young foxes may be a little difficult to lure with hare or rabbit sound. Often the young fox is not familiar with this sound, while a bird sound will be known as the mother often brought birds prey while growing up.
This call is effective up to 500 meters depending on the wind.
Bird in distress
For imitation of a bird in distress – blow short and intense bursts of air or hard trrr, trrr, trrr into the call. This sound is hard to resist for most small predators.
Little bird in distress
To mimic distress calls from small birds – blow thoroughly and let air go in and out through the call.
Rabbit in distress
If you blow a short steady stream of air through the call, you will get a very realistic rabbit sound. Call 15-30 seconds and sit quiet for 1-2 minutes – repeat for every 15-25 minutes.
